Finally a few days of nice weather in a row.
When I wash my car it feels rough, doesn’t really clean that well and I have noticed a build up of yellow dots everywhere.
These are all common problems when a cars paint starts to accumulate pollution or fall out.
This occurs at night mostly when the air cools and the pollution starts to drop from the air as the atmosphere becomes moist.
This is extremely prevalent near major roads, public transport routes, tram and train lines.
This build up looks like tiny specs of dust that will not wash off. Over time this forms a rough layer on the car which causes a few problems. When the build up starts to form on top of each other these hard particles are washed and rubbed over our car when cleaning. This causes the spiderweb effect on your paints clear coat. Other problems are that this layer make things stick to our paint like the yellow dots you often see as well as the dirt and grime that ends up on your car from normal use.
The “Works service” allows this layer of grime and pollution to be removed. This will not remove scratches but will leave the paint on your car smooth and clean.
Once smooth and clean a layer of polish is added to maintain the smooth finish.
It is now up to you to maintain that finish. The more layers of polish that are added the longer it takes to wear down and allow the pollution or fall out to start the sticking process of the paints clear coat again.
Regular maintenance is key and this video explains a little of how that works.
